FLASHFEED ("we", "our", "us") is a multilingual digital news platform operating at flashfeed.net. We publish breaking news and analysis in English, French and Spanish.

2. Data We Collect

Automatically collected: When you visit FLASHFEED, our servers may log your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL and pages visited. This data is used solely for security monitoring and aggregate analytics.

Cookies and local storage: We use cookies and browser localStorage to store your preferences — theme (dark/light), font size, language and ticker speed. These are strictly functional and contain no personal identifying information.

We do not collect: We do not ask for your name, email address, or any account information. We do not require registration to read FLASHFEED.

3. Market and Weather Data

Our weather widget requests your approximate location via your browser's Geolocation API. This request requires your explicit browser permission and the location data is never stored on our servers — it is used only to fetch local weather in real time.

4. Third-Party Services

• Yahoo Finance — market price data fetched server-side. No data about you is sent to Yahoo.
• Open-Meteo / Open-AQI — weather and air quality APIs. Your approximate coordinates may be sent when you grant location permission.
• Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google's CDN. Google may log font requests per their own privacy policy.

5. Cookies

FLASHFEED uses only first-party functional cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. The cookies we set:

• ff_t — your theme preference (dark/light)
• ff_ver — app version for cache management
• comm_cur — your selected commodity currency

You may clear these at any time via your browser settings without affecting your ability to read FLASHFEED.

6. European Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you.
